Any theft of my neighbor’s property.

4. What are the duties commanded in the eighth commandment?

Labor and industry, honesty and fidelity in our dealings, contentment with our lot, kindness and liberality to our neighbor.

For the happiness of married persons, for the propagation of the human race, and for the raising up of Godly children.

A. Because… with His precious blood— He has delivered and purchased us body and soul from sin and from the tyranny of the devil, to be His very own.

A. He is our mediator, and, in God’s sight, he covers with His innocence and perfect holiness my sun, in which I was conceived.

Murder, suicide, unust war, and the hatred which leads to them.

3. Who alone has a right to take human life?

The magistrate who bears the sword for the punishment of evildoers.

4. Why are we forbidden to destroy human life?

Because every human is made in the image of God.

5. What duties are required in the sixth commandment?

That we regard the life of every person as sacred.
